What is a somatic consultation group?

Somatic consultation groups give clinicians space to discuss cases through a body-based lens, including nervous system regulation, tracking sensation, and working with trauma held in the body. Many include experiential practice.

How to choose a group

  • Ask which somatic modalities the leader trained in, and whether the group welcomes clinicians from other trainings.
  • Check the balance of case discussion and experiential practice.
